The standard version has made an appearance in HK for a cool $860 C02 driven, it looks very tasty.

In the UK you can't. You also can't shoot people with real 1911's.

Not a very high end one though. An original US Army Colt 1911A1 would cost you $800-1200 if you can find one. Yes it's expensive for an airsoft pistol, but I bet it's better made than a Taurus 1911 :p

He is right to a degree, I have an Ithica made 1911 from 1943 that cost me £500 and is not in great condition. A colt in the same condition would be double that, but that is in the captive market of Jersey.

I'm not very competent with Channel Island gun laws, I assume Handguns legal their then? I also heard the '88 Semi-Auto ban doesnt apply there, is that true? :3

We have very nice guns laws, semi-auto pistol, semi-auto rifle. Oddly we are allowed to silence shotgun but not rifle.
