Hmm interesting, like the idea of recoil not so sure about the shells. However could add a new dynamic to sniping if the system/hop etc is up to the job.

Why, why shell ejecting?
Seriously is the loss of performance really worth the niche extra interest?

If people did a bit more searching around they would find that you don't have to use the shell ejecting feature, you just change a feature in the magazine and it is like any other non shell ejecting sniper platform.

This would be the gun that would get me into sniping.
Even if it only fired at sub 300fps... i would improve my fieldcraft to get close enough to use it.

Judging by the fact that it's CO2, I highly doubt it'll be sub 300fps. Looking at the K98, the standard version is 400fps+. Either way, this looks like it could be my next rifle.

2 gas versions are being offered. Green gas in butt with non ejecting shells and top loading mag. C02 shell fed. Taken of from another retailer/review site.

Re: 2012 G&G G96 - Blowback & Shell Ejecting
Oh - that's not fair at all! I thought there would be exchangeable parts; I want propane in the summer (when it's warm enough to work well and cheaper and more environmentally friendly than CO
2
) and CO
2
in the winter, when I need it. I want to try this thing, though - fortunately my local retailer is an authorised distributor does pretty much the entire G&G range, so I might be able to get hands-on soon enough...
[EDIT]It also says that the green gas version won't have a magazine, and will be loaded 'from the top' (which I guess means through the breech, like you'd load a stripper clip into a SMLE - but obviously without shells - however
that
works). The CO
2
version will have a magazine, with a five round capacity for both.[/EDIT]

Gimme! How much, where from, and when :D
Edit: Please don't actually post a retailer, I'm a busy man and don't wanna have to clean it up
I will be at the NAE 27th-30th August and replies to messages may be slow, bear with me!
