Well, kind of, but not quite.

Coming up on Sunday 4th of August is a first for SWAT Area 51 near Shotton, Deeside. They're going to be hosts to the first North West Airsoft Community swap and sell. The whole point of the group is to link together anyone who has anything to do with airsoft, whether they are players (who want to buy/sell/swap unwanted airsoft and tactical kit), suppliers, site operators and event organisers. This way it's kind of an airsoft "hub" where everything is under the one umbrella, it's open to anyone who has an interest in airsoft regardless of their location. With over 700 members, this is a growing group with a good reach across all airsoft communities not just the North West of England, wherever YOU are join the group and keep up to date on news, events, and 'Swap & Sell."

Also at this event is the official launch of the BFGX Versatile Training Grenade or VTG. The launch of this was delayed due to errors with the moulds for the casings apparently and the company selling them wanted them to be "Just right" before passing them on to airsofters. We are a demanding lot after all!

Feel free to come along and either swap, sell or even just browse the stalls. There will be ranges set up to try out your new purchases. There are also "CQB Taster" sessions for a reasonable £5.

I've got a spare room Bob? You can stay the Saturday night and get a bacon butty and a brew free of charge.

I just realised my error. There are actually closer to 1500 members now, not 700.

Regretably, I will have to give it a miss Bamf, but let me know of future events. I am more than willing to travel and if they are up that end of the country I can get melted on the Rotterdam - Hull overnight party ferry instead of slogging it up from Dover.

I get the numbers wrong and the day/date too. As stated, it is actually Saturday the 4th of August, NOT Sunday!
