Problem with it, is it say's it's not safe, and that it's a toy. So all the plates are probably plastic, and it probably moves like a crippled giraffe, because the videos of it driving about japan are just superimposition of two separate videos.

It's not linked to Mechwarrior. It isn't even slightly in the same style as FASA (or Harmony Gold's) creations.
It was made Kogoro Kurata, a Japanese Artist-Engineer (who has a knack for functional artisitic items like steampunk laptops and full-scale robotics) and a Robotics engineer (Wataru Yoshizaki).
