Had an email from a site i buy off regular from China, reads as such -

As you may or may not be aware, we could not access our website at ****** because China gov is requesting all websites to register with them and get approval from them. Until this registeration is completed, please have patience with us.

anybody else had similar?

I'm getting the general impression it may be a wide spread thing.
I'd rather not break rules as to naming or hinting at the company, all i can say is if you deal with a China company on a regular basis, try the website.
If it ain't working, theres your answer.

Well the site that has a similar name to RSVP is still working so that one isnt affected. I think though that although Hong kong is now part of China they are exempt from quite a lot of laws, especially business law

most of the china websites i use/browse all seem fine and the big one similar to a banned auction site also has no mention of this, is the retailer one youve used before or are waiting on gear from? if so could be a ploy to buy them more time in getting the gear shipped to you!

The item i've ordered from them is a custum made part, was going to be at least 28 days for the engraving to be done. as to wether its a ploy, who knows.

If anyone can translate this you'll be in the know.......
