if my ics AK is anything to go by it should be pretty good, and i know a few other folks who have ics ak's and can't say anything bad about em.

ICS Aks are by and large the worst you can get. They aren't compatable with alot of other AK parts, they actually have a plastic body with metal stuff put over it, and they are horribly out of porportion. This might not be a big deal to you, but when stuff like cyma and kalash are making awesome AKs for alot cheaper then the ICS, it doesn't really make sense to get an ICS one. Cheers.

cyma ak is better then ICS yeah. Pretty much every decent AK is better then ICS.

haha, as i wanted to make the AK a replica of the one on cod mw2. with the ris rails and tan handle and stock.

don't know what really makes you think that, as my ICS AK works just as well and a mates VFC... in fact he often prefers his ICS AK74M over his VFC...

Not sure why, they quality of the VFC is much better, and actually has a metal body, rather than plastic wrapped in a thin piece of metal.

Cause I like AKs and I like to spend my money well.

Its not just me, its generally regarded that the ICS sucks. On a certain russian kit specific website which I can't mention, where like every gun is an AK, nobody ever recommends the ICS.

Why would you choose ICS?

1) It doesn't take as much parts as others do, the one advantage is the barrel is designed so it can take real steel front sites etc, but thats it.
2) Its out of proportion horribly, they obviously didn't have a real one to compare to
3) It hasn't really got a proper metal body, just some metal dropped over the plastic one.
4) Its still a fairly expensive gun

Yeah, its not a totally awful gun, but there are lot better alternatives, like the VFC, Inokatsu, real sword, and to an extent the CA but I wouldn't reccomend that either.

On the cheaper end of the spectrum you have the Cyma and Kalash guns which are a hell of a lot better then the ICS.

Take money and quality into account and the ICS is at the bottom of the list.

edit

An AK74M is the modern ak74, and is the standard rifle for the russian army. Its a ak74 with polymer furniture, and a folding "solid" polymer stock.
