S.W.A.T Area 51 to close

Its always sad to see an airsoft site close down, especially as its one of my regular sites
Just posted on their facebook page - thought I would pass on the message

"S.w.a.t. paintball airsoft limited
It is with a heavy heart to announce, that area51 is to close forthwith.
With pressure from Flintshire county council we have been placed into a position that required us to close. With the buildings being of listed status was never an issue, and was rate free due to the fact they were listed.
Because we had technically occupancy (even though it was 1 day a week) they requested us make a planning application for a change of use.
This would then produce a rates bill of £60,000.00 per year, which is totally un realistic from a business point of view.
Despite s.w.a.t. were the custodians of these buildings and suffered from break in’s on a weekly basis, we always undertook the responsibility of keeping the damage to a minimum and kept the place clean, even though also the narrow-mindedness of Flintshire county council have got what they wanted, tantamount in the fact these buildings now remain vulnerable to thieves as they were before we took on the
site.
I would like to personally thank all the players and friends that have played at area51 and also announce that plans are afoot for another urban site to be opened in the very near future.
This currently is classified and will not be divulged until the ink has dried.
So for the near future it will be back to the woods in parkgate for a well-earned break from the s.w.a.t. meat grinder called urban airsoft.

Always a shame to hear of a site being shut down, but my attention was drawn to this line:

"This currently is classified and will not be divulged until the ink has dried."

Has the ink dried or are you taking liberties? :P

I think they mean any info about the new site they plan to open other than there is one

This is a shame as Area 51 is a great site. SWAT has had other CQB sites closed down before but they will get a new one soon. Plus they still have a woodland site on the Wirral so Team SWAT players still have somewhere to go.

Not good, only got to play once and had a great time, great bunch of guys and gals, shame.
Hope they get a new site soon.
