Re: KRISS terminate KWA agreement - No More KWA Vector!
I have a horrible feeling the next kriss you see will be manufactured by double eagle, licensed via cybergun and consist of a v2 gearbox and an aep mag shoehorned into a vaguely kriss looking frame.

It does say that they are seeking new partners for the KRISS project, I bet that we will see it made by another manufacturer at some point, but what will quality and compatibility with its KWA cousin be like?

Some kind of abomination where you can see the trades from further away than you can be shot with it? sounds about right.

Re: KRISS terminate KWA agreement - No More KWA Vector!
So KWA did all the groundwork on building a Gas KRISS and now they're told to sod off by KRISS themselves? I'd put money on it being either ASG or Cybergun doing the dirty on KWA behind the scenes
"oh, you're making XX on each one in licensing whilst KWA are making it?, we can give you YY if you let us sub-contract the manufacture to whoever we want"
That kind of thing...

Re: KRISS terminate KWA agreement - No More KWA Vector!
well if it is cybergun..i can see a more substantial boycott of their products taking place. its a shame, the KWA kriss vector was a lovely gun.
im hoping and praying this is either a late april fools joke, or Kriss have signed an agreement with Tokyo marui...please...

KRISS Arms terminates exclusive Trademark Licensing with KWA
Read that, "terminates exclusivity" they don't mention cutting ties with KWA, It's maybe not all doom and gloom, I foresee a cybergun licensed cloned Vector appearing soon fully traded/licensed made for pennies in China :p

Well on the plus side KWA seem to be planning to still make parts so stand by for the Umarex kriss announcement shortly.

Re: KRISS terminate KWA agreement - No More KWA Vector!
Wasn't it KWA that was booted out of Shot Show last year.
Bare in mind this is airsoft, stand by for a flood of clones and copies, it seems there are only a few companies that let a little thing like trade marks, copyright etc get in the way of building a new gun.

Something is badly wrong at KWA. Just read over half of their US office staff have quit their jobs.

They are going mad over a "no parts" scenario over on the KWA forum.
Why in gods name would there be no parts?
It's not the parts that are patented its the design of the gun itself surely.

erm yes but why produce bits and pieces if you can't sell the gun they go with?

Warranty support to start.
And just because you don't make the gun doesn't stop you making money on parts, just ask the likes of TSC, RA-tech or any other "parts" supplier.
Brembo don't make Porsche a Ferrari, don't stop them making brakes for them.
