ASG CZ 805 Bren anyone?
21 January, 2015, 08:53
ASG have now announced their new CZ 805 Bren in both Proline and Sportline flavours.
Pics of the prototype at SHOT show are floating around Facebook now. There is also an announcement PDF on ASGs website.
Highlights include cnc upper, V3 gearbox, replaceable magwell for CZ or STANAG mags.
No mention about the electronics, so whether the proline has the whizzy-bang electronics of the Scorpion EVO remains to be seen.
That is all.

Yeh, CZ used the name 'Bren' for their new assault rifle.
On the bright side (for some) ... It's not an M4...

We've been tricked.. lol.
"This is my rifle, it's just a toy one, there are many like it, they're toy ones too, without it, i'm £250 better off, without me, it gathers dust in the corner, we're just big boys playing soldiers, lets try and remember that" play fair have fun.

I'd prefer a GBB kit for the Scorpion TBH.
- GHK AK74MN - GHK AUG A1 - Secutor Gladius 17 - WE MG36 HPA -

No no, I can't wait either.
I kinda hope they keep it simple (I.E. regular gearbox and electronics etc) given the issues with the Scorpion Evo.
Anyway, i have shamelessly nicked some pictures off the facebook page of a retailer i cannot mention:

Yep, I got wood when I saw bren, soon lost it though when I saw the pics lol.
The name Bren comes from the factory/area the early ones came from, place called Brno I think, too hard for yet average Tommy to pronounce hence our interpretation.

I always thought Bren came from BRno initial design plus ENfeild where british version first produced.

That's prob an element how it got its moniker, to be fair I think it was a Czech design initially that we nicked, as did the Aussies with their version & I think even the japs had a go as well.
Lol, way before copyright protection
Back to the thread.....,....I don't like it

No, I don't like it either. Good it's not another M4 but there's a limit

I'm actually a fan of this. And for a VERY shameful reason. Use it(or something very similiar) on Battlefield 4 quite a bit!
