WE Tech mp5
20 December, 2010, 09:14
Hi,
Not fully confirmed yet (as in no videos) but if you type in we tech mp5 into the google search engine it should come up with a few prototype pics of the gbb mp5 being built on an airsoft site that covers everything.
I would post a link but not sure if mods would close it down.
Don't know about you but if this ever comes out i'd definately be interested.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: WE Tech mp5
definately!
ever since i tried out a gbb scar i've been extremely interested in gbbr. There's the sa80, the p90, the ak74su and now the mp5 that seem to be in the works. I just wish I had the money for them all. I'm just looking forward to seeing if they bring out a gbb m249. That I would like to see.

They are working on a 249 too but I expect that might be some time before release

Re: WE Tech mp5
The m249 will eat the gas and only be able to do about 500-700 rpm due to consumption and the mech system
Hope they sort the flaws out on the open bolt system for the sa80
But do you think the mp5 will be closed bolt or open due tithe small ejection port

Re: WE Tech mp5
flaws ?
What flaws are they as every single open bolt based WE i've seen has been flawless when compared to other designs.
MP5 will be of the new open bolt type i expect

The Crimson Canine as 'leaked' vids of a GBB MP5 with a closed bolt and what looks like great kick.

Re: WE Tech mp5
Lets not get confused here !
The WE "open bolt system" does fire closed bolt but does not have the brass tube
It is not the same as what we consider open bolt in terms of firearms which is when the bolt is returned to the rear at the end of cycling

Re: WE Tech mp5
But also remember, the only widely produced MP5 GBBs (Maruzen system) have been open bolt, and I mean
proper
open bolt, which was a shame.

Re: WE Tech mp5
The flaws on the sa80 were the reason it was put back
due to not being able to make the gas working parts actually work
Hoping they are sorted out
Also I think the mp5 will be closed bolt mate due to the size of the mags etc
