Not a good day for airsoft

So some bad press today for the world of airsoft two kids went into a school and shot a load of 12-16 year olds with metal ball baring how dose that help with our image and how did these kids get the gun they were under 18!!!

Yeah I saw that, that's in Scotland aint it. Plus there was an incident in Peterborough town centre when two lads held up a jewellers with two replica side arms.

The Scottish one was air rifles to be fair and the Peterborough were "replicas" not Airsoft, so thin line. But yeah it's not great.

They probably had them pre-vcra plus some dodgy retailers (like market stalls on dodgy markets) still sell to underage people, I walked up to a market stall couple of years ago and bought a .22 air rifle, no questions asked, no ID check to check if i was over 18 (Alright I blatantly was but they should of still asked) and then best of all they wrapped it in a couple of bin liners so they could keep it out of site.

That and Des from east midlands today (the weather man with the huge hands) was recently in court due to being pulled over and police finding a replica on his passenger seat in the open. (Who'd of thought it weather presenters doing fake drive by shootings)

Thing is the title in the paper is BB so what are people Gunna think I hope the kids that got shot are ok there is just well words evade me .....
As some of you may know I'm new to airsoft but for someone to damage a reputation like that and put peoples lifes on the line is out of order we wear masks for a reason is just out of order !!(rant over)

Metal ball bearings are 4.5mm .177 are they not? Air pistols up to 6ft/lb. Probably run from Co2.

I hope I'm right with that...lol....sure I will soon find out if not...

Midas there was a story a few years back about people using engine bearings from a sniper rifle

There was numerous cat bodys found in fields from It

but damn not a good time for us lot

notice the BBC mention it as an airgun attack. you can still buy airguns without bother over the counter in the uk even when they are RIFs themselves.
