I think give it a while and the cost will come down. Ultimately A-TAC's have to cover their cost becuase they have splashed out loads on making stuff in it; not just clothing, but bags, weapons even boots with A-TAC camo soles. I think once our chinese friends get their hands on it, it will come down in price with the clones. Think about how much multicam you can get now.
Personally I love it, and think that come autumn it will be a great set in the woodland environment, but as for splashing out nearly £100 at the moment, no, not yet. Interestingly though the price between here and the States isn't much difference. Jacket and trousers will set you back about $120, which works out to be £75 today. So with shipping etc fairly competitive.

I agree with you though, I'm not massively pumped on A-TACS, it does look very much like a worn in rag...

Oh i get you now, i thought you was viciously defending £90 worth of mud n tan..

I just dont see it, a full set including plate carrier boonie etc etc etc may look okay? mmm but 999999.99999% of people wont buy all that and it dont look right with tan plate carriers etc, its just weird n too basic to look cool for airsoft, yeah it might be handy in a quarry for life situations that dont require an element of looking cool into the mix but

Either way, I'm sure A-TACS has it's place, I'm just not sure I like the "total patterned" look... I'm not that into its cut either...

I think a good mixture of A-Tacs for base clothing and multicam chest rig set up might go well. it looks kinda plain the copied stuff looks like its been warn a lot and misses some of the darker colours
