If you mean the gas cylinder under the barrel at the front, there's some question of the WW2 airsoft forum about whether not that's a section 5 part (prohibited under the firearms act, not VCRA), as it's an integral part of the semi-auto mechanism.

I wish still had my TM full wood/metal M1 Garand. If the ICS is lacking abit you might always be able to drop TM internal parts inside with some poking around ect.

No mate, I mean the barrel block that fits around the chamber to which you fit the M1D scope mount- it's just a big shroud that slips over the barrel with a flat side with some tapped holes in it. No working parts/section 5 hoo-ha bollocks to worry about
