hi,
i thought you could play twice in the 2 months, then when you play again you will get the UKARA.
the only rule against you as i can see as you can,t play all 3 times in less than
3 months,but a bit longer seems ok.?.
so you should be able to join with your schedule.

What? I think you need to read the defence again mate. Doesn't matter how long the breaks are between skirmishes so long as he take at least 2 months to play them. He could play 1 game every 3 months if he wished and on his completion of the 3rd game he would be eligible for defence

Yeah suppose I am wasting my time lol. On a more in thread topic though. I just checked out the AOBA site and it say work has slowed down. Does anyone know whether it is dead in the water or what? There are a couple of notable inclusions in the sign up though First and Only being the biggest.

Well, it wasn't you that dragged up a 5 month old thread.

The AOBA represents its members, nobody is being forced to join the party and bring a bottle!
I believe he means what members is he talking about? how many? when did this start? who elected who? whats there background? these are the question that would be nice to be answered, as how could you represent someone without there knowledge?

Re: Association of Airsofters
It wont work unless it has the support of the industry and players within the uk. Tis sounds like a few guys starting up a club. They need to be elected officials that are elected by the majority of uk airsoft players.

Unanswered questions?
Have you emailed AOBA? For one we do not frequent every UK forum available so would be impossible to find all unaswered questions. It is purely by chance I logged in today.

There are no 'officials' in Airsoft. UKARA is not 'official'. AOBA is not 'official' All they are are representations. I wouldn't expect miracles within a few months. Everything takes time. If we waited to be elected by the majority then we would never get anywhere. We are setting up, if it is deemed required the committee/team can be changed in the future.
Others have said they will create Player based groups, or 'unions' yet nothing has surfaced to our knowledge. At least we are available to those that need help and we already receive contact with Players, Sites and New Retailers wanting assistance in the Airsoft community in the UK.
Work has by no means died a death in the water for AOBA, everything takes time and we would rather get it working right from the off. You know its there, you can utilise it or you don't have to. Once it is up and running the Players will chose themselves. Some will stay as they are, others will join up we know this already.
We want to achieve something, however where other groups do not.
If you wish to contact us please do, our email is available on our website.
Regards.
Mathew.

What you want to do is look at the paintball version of what your trying to do and how they started up so you can use it as a template, because your way will rub people up the wrong way, no disrespect to you.
When the paintball one started up they contacted all the main people within the paintball industry within the uk, all the main sites and tournament organisers and then the top 20 teams to discuss this issue and how to move on. Have you done this????????
