AEG - GBB Conversion kit
20 May, 2011, 11:05
Anyone else heard any news on this?
Aparently it's being made by GHK, and they've released a video for it now

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
I think this has been in development for a while now, or maybe that was another company?
Either way, I personally wouldn't bother because I have GBBR's for realism and this is defeating the point of gas. Plus, doesn't look like gas consumption is very good :/

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
To me it looks great... If there was a bit more kick, mind.
Gas consumption looks good??? I've not seen any armalite being able to cap off so many rounds, at such a high rate of fire, and keep going (it seems to do a lot more than 30 rounds, which, on F/A, can be a task under some conditions).

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
I think it's a good idea, as presumably all you have to do is switch the gearboxes around (Or gasbox?) and you have a fully functioning AEG/GBBr. You could have a GBBr for the summer, AEG for the winter, in the same gun. I'd buy it if they made a version 3 gearbox shaped one...

I think you may be right Adam, as one user states: "This is their AEG Gear box design of the M4 GBB
For more info check Arms cool forum (in Chinese)"
So it may just be an AEG, emulating a GBB?

Fairly sure it's GBB...
Here's a picture of it, I'm fairly certain that those nozzle type things are for gas

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
I wonder what mags it'll take though? Obviously not standard AEG ones...
Also, the video is split half way, it's two seperate videos. Which would explain the extended amount of fire, so it doesn't have amazing gas consumption

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
thats not the point though
no GBB can fire that fast for that amount of time even in small bursts, im talking about the first half of the clip alone before it jump cuts.
imagine it on single shot?

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
The two threaded pieces at the bottom are exactly the same as they use inside their AK conversion kit. Two tube like gas reservoirs are threaded onto them, joined inside the block that's up in the magwell, and with a single fill valve at the bottom of the mag. The main difference is that there is no valve on the rear of the mag, it's all up by the "box".
Based on that, there should be both airsoft gas and CO2 compatibility.

Re: AEG - GBB Conversion kit
Seems like a good idea, all they need now is to invent a gas that works in the winter!
