TM guns disappearing
6 August, 2009, 00:17
breaking news to all TM lovers
TM is no longer allowed to be sold in Britain and in a few months all retailers would either have sold them all or hand them in to be destroyed.
if i remember what i was told it was because they dont comply with a Act or something like that (crap memory)
and that TM won't change it because Britian is only 5% off their sales market.
recently a Armoury that belongs to the dog family was raided and had 5 off TM RIF's taken from them.
i fill you in if i find out any more

Re: TM guns disappearing
its is a act i don't now ifs its VCR or the build quailty as there are plenty off Act's that Britain has.
A retailer that has just opened up in St Ablans was telling me about as i was looking at the pistols and how that he only had the one TM left as he wasn't going to order any more in because off it and how some retailers were still ordering them in.

Re: TM guns disappearing
i dont know about parts will ask him when next go in
but all TM guns bought already i believe are safe from being reclaimed, though if retailers are still buying them in then maybe they will drop the price to try and get rid off them if they dont sell them in time

Don't hold your breath for this to be anything we don't already know about.
To the OP: Said retailer wasn't perchance trying to get you to purchase said "soon to be banned and no longer available" RIF was he?

Re: TM guns disappearing
nope he didn't push on the point he was more intressed in showing me the weight and kick off the new AGM m4 gas blow back (lovely by the way) and just normally talking. He thinks its bad too as his and his son's guns are all TM.

Re: TM guns disappearing
I think, and i could be mistaken here, this might be down to the same reason alot of JG and Dboys guns disappeared a while back. Apparently, the electronics in many Asian made AEGs are not up to British standards (surprisingly, Cyma have an outstanding record), and are not allowed to sold. If people remember, JGs M16s disappeared a while back for that reason, and it could be that TM internals arn't as great as they're thought to be.
I could be mistaken, but thats the only peice of legislation i can think of that would affect all of one brands produce, aside from certain guns or all brands
G&G TR15 Raider XL, CA G36K, G&G MP5A4, Cyma Thompson, APS AKS-74U, Custom TM Uzi, DE M56, WE Nighthawk X2, Cyma Glock 18C
RD Customs MG42, The Bone Cannon And Project Balderdash.
If you aren't laughing, you're doing it wrong.

Re: TM guns disappearing
Not really breaking news I posted about this over 9 months ago ( to the general poo pooing of others that it was rubbish ) when trying to get some TM Mags from a local stockest, he told me that it was down to COSHH ( Control of substances hazardous to health ), likley to be the lead content of the solder or something similar. Does this mean that We can still get parts ? does this mean we will still be able to import their AEG's and pistols ourselfs, I would be very intrested to find out as I am a big TM fan.

Re: TM guns disappearing
Yer, alot of the dboys guns became illegal to sell becasue of the lead in the paint ( all changed now ). i really want a TM five seven
and if they are illegal to sell im going to cry in a dark corner on groundzero.
