Hopefuly it indeed will be something interesting other than a Thomson or sten or mp44 or whatever
maybe a support weapon would be nice or a bolt action

Lots of people call guns by their manufacturer - M82's get called barratts, Ak47's get called kalashnikovs etc etc

Sorry, I normally dont post on issues such as this, but actually, in COD: W@W, its called the 'Browning M1919', and as such, you cannot really acuse W@W as just calling it a Browning

That said im definitely looking at some russian gear now, wanted to do Russian gear for ages

Dude, Chill. I'm sorry to argue but this kind of stuff really annoys me more by saying "stop calling it 'what you prefer to call it'"! I know it as the Browning and i will always know it as that. I know in Airsoft we all want to play soldiers but i bet even the real deal blokes who used it in ww2 called it the Browning or even the 50.cal(which I'm sure you would love to go and rage at them for) a lot more than the actual designated name of the 1919A4. If someone is confused(Like Armywill) to what they mean they merely have to ask "do you mean the HMG or the pistol" I'm sure Kartboy is friendly enough!

Getting annoyed about names for things is useless for instances: the 'Union Jack' is not called the 'Union jack' its the Union Flag. Yet I'm sure alot of people wouldn't know what i was talking about if i said "I've just order a subdued union flag badge for my vest". However I'm sure you wouldn't care if you saw someone call a nations flag the wrong name, as your so '1337zor' and thinking people are 'noobs' for calling something a more universal and more understood name? People were calling it the browning long long before the first gaming console was designed let alone cod:waw, so "Chill, Winston".

its usually called a 30 cal, a 50 cal was on shermans and such other armoured vehicles.
and a 30 cal is an LMG not an HMG , the 50 cal was a HMG

oh and i've never ever heard someone call it a browning before that game came out actually, its always been called a 30 cal
