My first rifle
8 April, 2012, 23:18
Hey all,
Just got back into the hobbie after stopping in 2002...after my last two skirmishes in march I can't quite figure out why I stopped!!!
Anyway..couple pics of the M4 rifle I just purchased. Would like to upgrade it but not quite sure how and where to start!!

Re: My first rifle
I have noticed that on semi it jams every now and again (switching to full auto clears the problem)

Re: My first rifle
That looks like a g&g ? If it is a common problem is a bad finish on the trigger mechanism excess metal that needs filing smooth . Also what battery are you using on it ? Try a 7.4 lipo as it could be bad cycling on the battery you are using

Re: My first rifle
Upgrading the motor to a higher torque unit may also alleviate the problem as well a popping in a more powerful battery.
If you really want to splash the cash a decent MOSFET like the ASCU V2 will eliminate the jamming.

Re: My first rifle
Yeah its a G&G CM16 Raider-L
I am currently using a 8.4 2200 crane battery, I am thinking of putting a tight bore barrel in also as I believe this will help with grouping?
Could you link me to possible upgrades?
Would Zero One do these for me (I dont feel confident in my own ability...only confident enough to break the thing!)

Re: My first rifle
Zero one would do it for you, but to be honest your probably better off going with a private techie such as TB Stalker, JohnnyJ or SASScott...they'll charge alot less, and it'll probably get done quicker.
