Re: R93 Blaser
That is the only downside. Its only the last 3 inchs that can flex because the rest is on the barrel. I have put a welding rod down one of the sides and that has made it far more rigid so I will be adding some more to stiffen it up.

Re: R93 Blaser
Have you considered getting a real (well, real airgun) suppressor for it? They're really very effective. Also, if this thing's straight-pull (as in, you just pull the bolt straight back) if I switched the bolt handle over to the left, could a leftie use it?

Re: R93 Blaser
I have considered air rifle suppressors in the past, never figured out how to mount one!
I'll check the bolt for you and see if I can flip the handle round

Re: R93 Blaser
Decided to put some 50mm downpipe over the foam to make the suppressor rigid, also to give it a more professional appearance. I am VERY pleased with the results. I sprayed the tube with Platikote Matte Black, and it took FOREVER to dry, I will be sticking to the Halfords paint.
PureSilver, I am afraid to say that whilst undoing the allen screw on the back of the bolt removes the handle, you can flip it round but can't secure it as a notch is cut on one side on the inside of the handle. If a left handed handle is released you would be able to swap the handle in 5 minutes. But until then it's right hands only, sorry.

Re: R93 Blaser
Love it!
I know some people will disagree but is there any way irons can be installed without ruining it? Would be epic.

You could use the ris to add two very close irons... But to add an iron to the front best bet would be to superglue one directly to the outer barrel, maybe use one from a glock slide or a cheap Springer??? That way its only semi permanent.

Re: R93 Blaser
Cheers for the effort. Still, the effort required to make this left-handed (buy a spare cocking handle, modify) is about 1/100th of the effort required for anything else.

Re: R93 Blaser
Dave38x, the Real Steel doesn't either. When you pull the bolt the whole receiver pulls away from the barrel and the shell flies out the top. Asahi made an Airsoft version which replicated this but it also cost $1700. King Arms went with a more traditional method to keep costs down.
Video of a Real Steel Blaser in action. This is the Civilian version, but the Military version is the same bolt, just magazine fed and with the tactical stock.
Fun starts at 2:00 minutes

Re: R93 Blaser
The CO2 version shown at the Show Show by King Arms had the moving receiver, as being gas there is no spring to compress... although it looked suspiciously like an Asahi Blaser with a King Arms label tied on... time will tell if it is real or not...
