Grenades!!

Alrite, looked around and althou there's painted BFGs out there, to find pictures of them is not that easy..

So yea, it can be 40mm or thunderflashes for what I care, as long as they are painted or somehow externally modded. Possible standard if the pic is EPIC.

wanted it yellow so it be easy to find, but thought plain yellow'd been a bit boring. This particular skull is my logo, I use it everywhere.

Interesting note.. 3 layers of acrylic paint make them quite a lot louder! Guess the internal pressure has to build up a little more before the shell bursts?

Lookin good and that's a great observation indeed!

interesting btw... I was thinking about painting it like a pumpkin myself. nothing to do with the time of the year, rather I figured it be a good way to integrate a high visibility colour into a cool design.

i used to attach a white tape streamer to mine so that if they went into undergrowth or rubble they were easier to find.

No pics i'm afraid as i stopped using BFGs about seven years ago as I had one stolen and the other went in for repairs with a company who went bust and dissapeared!

In those days i didnt take digital pics, it's unlikely I have any pics of them at all.

Basically though I got some white farbic type tape, wrapped it round the body then folded it in on itself to make a non sticky metre long 'tail', you can wrap it round loosely and it still fits in pouches. i also put smaller white tapes on the pins as its really easy to forget to hang onto them (i'm totally used to grenade pins being disposable).

Not my idea, i think yith had bright orange and blue streamers on his and i saw that and made some cheaper fabric tape ones.

Does make them *slightly* less instant to use if you want to make sure the tail is unfurled but defintily helped me find them a few times.

Heres the one thats waiting for me when im 18. Was my stepdads but he stopped airsofting and i persuaded him to keep it for me. Made it unique though :P

Some guys at my local site wanted to paint some thunderflashes red (I suggested adding a mock fuse as well)... and do a revolver game with cowboy hat and bandana..

Would love to see pix of that
