    Richie,

I used the range available at a national motor spares retailer....

Used the following matt colours: Green, Brown, Black and Khaki for a desert look

      Hey Guys,

Wanted a little, advice and general opinion on what I have planned for my rifle.

I recently purchased an ATACS Hydro dipping kit for my M4 DMR, but I don't have the guts to dip the nice VLTOR parts unless I am sure it will look nice, which I don't think it will.

So I decided to go with something like this:
      1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

      That looks cool huh?
My rifle is essentially the same but an M4 with a CTR stock and an Aimpoint micro (no longer a dmr).
BUT I have the bronzy daniel defence rails. And I don't have the guts to so much as get a drop of paint on them...

How would I go about doing this and would it even look good? Thanks!

All hand crafted by my self , I milled the barrel extension down from a G36k extender , the flash hider is a cut down M14 , the carrying hand I carved then forged the metal part and then finally I painted the wood effect on the furniture .

That looks mint Dog! I've never met anyone who can spray up a gun like you, and I've been told mine are good too.

I decided to restore an old G36C that I got for free while buying another gun. I patched the hole in the body (where the stock latch usually is), fixed the electrical issues and made sure that it was nice and airtight inside the gearbox and hop. After that I just decided to try a new way of painting, turned out decently enough in my opinion. Black, OD + a little bit of tan for the camouflage, gunmetal for the fake wear on the parts that are metal in the real steel version, and then some glow in the dark paint for the iron sights

Thanks, yep, first a wide stripe pattern with OD and black, then OD sponge on the black areas, black sponge on the OD areas, finally a little tan all over. Dry brush for the metallic wear effect.
