I have a bog standard Classic Army Sportline M4A1, has correct stock so thats a good start, add a rubber stock pad, outer barrel set, trademarked body, RIS and an Acog, voila, a C8.
if you want to go all the way change the pistol grip and the front sight.

i know plenty of people who bolt far more than this on a M4.

with regards to changing the pistol grip and front sight.... yes you can do that as thats what we've all seen in the pics. however there are L119a1s out there that have the standards M4a1 pistol grip and front sights so you can get away without changing them however people do like/prefer to go the whole nine yards as the more commonly seen L119a1 do have the Lonestar ordnance oversized grip and the solid front sight...

When I had mine set up i didnt bother changing the above as i often change it bck to its current setup as a seal blaster

Sleepy, agree totally, i'm actually going for a cheaper option, and adapting it using milliput, and keeping the standards pistol grip. Its generally covered by my hand.....

He can't have done that much, as most RS parts won't fit an airsoft gun

Umm, no, sorry. Can't see him fitting the internals in a L119A1 body, or fitting a Diemarco barrel either.

Listen to fizzy, it's not as simple as putting the internals into a different body and changing the barrel. The body will most defenatly have different measurements and will require fileing/milling to get the gearbox to fit etc etc.

And it realy pisses me off when people half arse the job and call it a L119. If your going to do it do it right.

What annoys me more is when people base the L119A1 off like one rifle..


They will have differences.. so tehre is no way of doing it 'right' really..

Until the ******* ***** at large does an exact copy as a full AEG, or a full conversion kit, we have to make do.
If i could find the correct sight, i's buy one, but they're like rocking horse poo. So i adapt.
The majority of people who have posted their conversions of M4's to L119A1/C8's have done good jobs, put the time and effort in to research whats right or wrong.
Thats not a half arsed attempt in my oppinion.....

Airsoft is all about different levels of realism for different people.

If someone has gotten everything else minus one small thing such as a body without the proper trades for example I don't really think they should be belittled.

Personally, I run around with the my internally upgraded JG G36c. It looks like a G36c in all ways but the trade marks which you can't see anyway from beyond a few meters. I abuse the crap out of it because of my over enthusiastic way of playing, however it's got it internally where it counts with upgraded motor, bearings, spring and bucking etc (just waiting on a new TB barrel).

I know the arguement is that people like to display there gun's at home for themselves, and thats fine. Just not everyone does.

this is what i have so far.
I plan to add either a mini aimpoint or aimpoint and 3x or 4x magnifier on a flip to side mount and possibly lose the carry handle.
