thanks all, i think i might go with a rub down and recolour as id like it a bit darker and all the wood to match.

incidently for anyone wanting to build one make sure you start with a donor gun with a metal reciever, the outer barrel is all over the place with a plastic one, and invest in an adjustable rear sight, they are standard on the RPK anyway and it makes adjusting the sights a doddle.

So do SRC, ive never seen either but i doubt either is full metal and wood, but if they are i bet they arnt as heavy as this beast. they would prob be cheaper though. be interested to here from anyone who has one and what they perform like.

The Hi-Capa looks nice, but I just can't put into words my hatred from M4 stocks on anything but M4s.

Well i agree in some way but i cant stand the mp5 bulky stock. I have a Magpul ACS stock in black ariving soon had my mates on on there and it looked sweet. But yeah it is kinda ugly with the stock m4 stock. :D
