From the photo looks like a rail bolted onto the underside, not hard to do on G36's

As pope said. Basically I bought a rail set from HK, took the front end off and got a couple of captive nuts and washers on the inside. As the plastic is pretty thick you can do them up quite tight, there is no movement there at all. I use a battery sling so not worried about the battery in the front stock. There are nice holes all along the front grip so finding the place to put the screws/washers etc was easy.

well ive just received it...so it hasnt been tested, other than put through a chrono,but my xcortech chrono cant calibrate the weight of the bb accurately,its 8mm and the chrono smallest weight for 8 mm was .45 grammes or is it grains? anyway so i used green gas, with 8mm .28,and the chrono was 6mm .25,and it was reading 200 fps......will send you a pm
