The classic army g36 series like mine uses the real material as the real "Steel"

Kitten, I've got a tightbore barrel in my M4, and it more than competes with any M14. So, yes. A tightbore DOES increase range. And I've used that M14, and I have no problem with the eye relief whatsoever.

star m249s are meant to be crap
the barrery is in the box mag so thats a bit enoying if you are doing milsim and want to change mags!
