I forgot the KJW was a WA clone, that rules it out for a base gun. The WE seems to be mostly TM compatible, moreso then the 1911 because the frame looks quite Hi Capa like. It definitely takes Hi Capa mags. The grips aren't 1911 compatible, but a double stack frame plus the width of regular 1911 grips would be a real handful. Hogue make lots of Para Ord P14 grips. It's probably just as bad as the normal WE 1911s, but it seems to have a bit more upgrade potential.

Probably the best place to ask this:

Will i be able to fit the TK silencer adapter to a tm m1911a1 barrel, or will i need to replace it with an meu barrel?

(I appologise in advance if this has already been asked, i did have a look, but i couldnt see anything)

Hi mate,

The TK adapter will not fit a 1911a1 barrel as it is slightly thinner. It will fit inside a plastic MEU or Hicapa barrel and there is a tool for it to ensure it aligns properly (though you can do it without).

A quick question to those who have a suppressor on their 1911, does it still cycle?

Thinking of suppressing mine, but do i need to do any upgrades to my pistol to ensure it can handle the additional weight and still work?

best bet is to get one of those new outer barrels that doesn't drop. then it should in theory still work perfectly fine !

Lee's precision silencers are pretty lightweight so in theory they shouldn't affect cycling too much.

Wolf, is that a one off or is somebody making a steel lower without crappy drop in frame rails????
