I've not posted pictures of my pistol builds in flukking years, I got totally bored of seeing Salient Arms & Race gun everything - owing to the high quality kit that is being sold nowdays, the skill required in building airsoft pistols is minimal & it totally killed it for me until recently when I decided to start modifying everything rather than buying a kit.

If you read that last moan the you'll notice what I've done here:



KJ slide, but all TM internals, sides polished, top cerakote'd satin charcoal.
Frame is cut to officers size & heavily modified to accept officers grips.
Magazine Modified to be of the 6 shot Colt Officers flavour.

The result is a compact, full length Government model.

Finally I assembled my Nova SAI 1911 5 inch
It's the first one they made!
Serial SAI 00001.. To match with my Commander SAI!

Yes I installed the comp just for the photos.
It doesn't fit in its box with the comp on.

Double Star

This may seem like a SOCOM GEAR Double Star, you'll see that the frame is of the non railed variety & few parts replaced like grips, sights, trigger etc. which is nothing clever.



If you look closer you'll see that I've dropped the the ejection port, widened it & added low level flare.
The slide then got cerakoted in a matt charcoal.



I find that small modifications like this can totally change the look of the gun.

Quick question about the metal kits if anyone could help before I buy.

I always see kits with aluminum slide with steel barrel even the nova ones.
Would a steel barrel destroy the aluminum slide over time?
