i did it mainly just to break up the colour, was always planning on spraying it, but since doing it, i actually prefer the roughed up look. Plus like you say, there is the grip aspect to it aswell

Getting there with the MK18 conversion. Just need an armourers tool to tighten up the barrel nut. Still debating whether to use a MK18 crane stock

Took about 15mins including drying time just a base coat of brown then a Khaki dusting over some twigs.
