spartacus, how do you get the faded/distressed look on your ak's? I have the horrible matt black finish on my G&P ak body and am looking for a way to change it accurately.

i find wire wool is the best for that does the job nicely
also i found if anybody got a plastic lower that to spray it silver then a coat of black the buff off on edges with car polish until silver shows

The only gun with any artificial wear and tear there is the AKMS I personaly did not weather it. It was done by a member on this forum. 'Kamarov' Hats off to the guy he has done a Fantastic job. It looks so real!

And you wont get that look on a G&P reciever.

The AKMS my friend is Real Sword.

waaaaaay to much spray a coat of black now then buff with car polish in effected ageing areas untill silver shows through

Speaking of Cyma AK's, are their AK Beta Spetsnaz's on the same level of brilliance? I want a Beta spetz at somepoint in the near future.

Just born into my hands, 1 week old,

Last things I want to do are change the pistol grip to a brown [non wooded] and re-varnish front end to be darker.

Best AEG I've ever had, must have put 3x3000 drum mags in a day game and it never broke [I used it as my main weapon for about 2.5 - 3 years] just like the real AK it never stopped haha.

indeed, alcohol caused it and black krylon fixed it
