Couple of questions guys how do you get the worn look on the metallic parts of the weapons?? Also does anyone know what brand of mag will fit into the g and g rk47? I've been told cyma fits but not sure about it.

Have done Thanks, sanded my ak down now and going for linseed oil on the wooden parts. Also used some wire wool to give the metalic parts a more worn look especially the mags. Will put some pics up once it's done, really didnt like the stock g and g colour scheme it was just dull.

AK dudes with 24x1.5mm thread, what have you done for a different flash hider/muzzle brake?

Just got my LCT AKS74U through and fancy a different fh for it

I know that some company does an adapter to 14mm CCW. Do the GHK and LCT have different threads?

My latest TM recoil an AK74 just need to think of how to dress it up , was curious what it would look like with an Acog , and now I know ! Quite like it my self .

I wasn't particularly wanting to add extra length/bulk onto it, the extra 15mm would just look odd I think :l

Just read the thread from page 11 onwards. I so so so want to buy a GHK AK105 to go with my 74u. But then I really wouldn't mind the LM4... Wow

WARNING - PICTURE OVERLOAD

Some updates


G&G AIMS got scratched a bit on the woodwork so I stripped it down and started again.
The wood was sanded, restained with walnut stain and given a good soak in linseed. It's now dried out a bit so needs another coat.



But then it looked out of place to I rubbed down the steelwork with 600 grade Wet and Dry and protected with Abbey Gun oil.

Mad.matt, what scope mount is that on your tactical AK? It looks quite low profile, better than the crappy ACM mounts you get.
