What upgrade of spring should I go for ? Currently, I am shooting at around 240 fps. I have seen 160 percent spring but I assume this would be tooo large ?

I'm not sure you upgrade pistol fps with Springs

Get some nine ball gas routers, a nine ball rubber, and a tightbore barrel.

That'll put you close to 350

Stronger hammer spring = moar gas.

And less shots! Does it actually up the fps at all? I thought it just vented more gas all over the place

If you buy a new SD real grip it will come with SV sticker and STI plastic logo that you'll have to glue.

An uprated hammer spring is required if you are using a higher pressure gas, which will up your fps. So by default no, but in practice with better gas yes.

Return springs are a different matter, the shot will happen with weak or strong springs, but your slide won't cycle properly if its not the right one. I always buy over rated springs and cut them to suit my slides, then shim to short stroke. But that's my preference.

Ok, I have an alloy slide coming for it so should I leave the spring for now or do it at the same time ? As far as gas, I am using the WE CO2 mags. Can I short stroke convert and still have the locking slide ? To short stroke, is it ok to use tubing or does it need to be the short stroke spring fitted ?
