Love it. I think I'm pretty much set on the FAMAS being my next weapon of choice - although I personally prefer my FAMAS in F1 flavour - but it's still all good!

I cant bring myself to decide whether I love the FAMAS or hate it
one of the guys at my local site has one and I really like the look of it, but find its just too short!

Hmm I need to have a hands on feel of one I think... it just looks really short to me... then again I like my guns as big as they come, G3's, M16's and AK74's :P

Are these true to all other French rifles? By wich I mean never fired, dropped once.

that actually made me lol.
i've always had a kind of secret fetish for the FAMAS. not because of metal gear (never owned a playstation) i just find them rather sexy. do the airsoft famas take famas mags? or is there an adapter to take VN mags (they look kinda similar...but no idea how they feed on the famas)

Re: FAMAS - The french side of life.
There is a slight difference with normal m4 mags.......the m4 ones have 2 notches on either side of the mag to hold into place by the mag release catch, as the famas ones have just one at the front to keep it locked into place by the mag release catch. They also have a slightly higher feed hole positioned at the top than the m4 ones.

Re: FAMAS - The french side of life.
Just a quick comparison here to show the difference:
M4 mag on the left, FAMAS on the right
