Re: Shotguns
ASG SAS 12 full length.
Additional weight added to the feed tube, stock and pistol grip so it now weighs 3.17kg rather than the original 2.4kg. The real thing weighs 3.27kg, so it's only 100g off. I just couldn't squeeze any more roofing lead and grip-fill into the pistol grip, but it's close enough for my liking anyway now. Plus, the cocking handle DT has made for me will add a little bit more too.
The plastic parts have all received a coat of silver paint, followed by a couple of coats of satin black. 10 minutes with the wire wool, and a bit of wet and dry, and it's looking about the same as my old full metal gas shotty.

Re: Shotguns
Get some modelling greenstuff and add a round part to the stock by the trigger, spray it black and that will look superb.

Re: Shotguns
thanks, however just filling in the pistol grip area with milliput and sanding and painting was hard enuf ! i dont know if i have the model making skills to build up a feature on the stock that would last. i modded the shottie a couple of years ago now and fortunately it still looks the same
i am always on the look out for a suitable 870 style stock that i could mod to fit, ideally some enterprising (chinese probably) airsoft manufacturer will start making wood parts for TM style shotties.... here's hoping

Re: Shotguns
New false charging handle made for me by the very nice Dorsettrooper, screwed to a sheet aluminium false bolt and fitted into the upper cover after removing the plastic that was there:
