Huh. My knowledge is mostly of the American system (where I have to get my parts) and there the serial-numbered part of the gun (the lower receiver, in the case of the AR-15) is the firearm. I was under the impression that UK firearms law worked the same way. If the lower receiver is not 'the firearm' for the purposes of UK law, which component of the gun is? I would have thought as the only serial-numbered part of a typical AR-15 the lower receiver would have to be, by a process of elimination if nothing else.

Just graduated, and was given a PTW kit as a present for said graduation, now to build the blighter.

I got to what I thought was the end of the build to discover that I had 5 bits left over, and am now having to start from scratch

Lol no idea how you managed that? Lol.

The guide on the disc is a bit all over the place i found.

While you have it open again you can do the moisture proofing mod tac does. Dead easy £6-7 from halfrauds for something called clear protective coat or something similar. Just dont get it on the micro switch or light gate. Something like blutac helps there.

My WIP mk18 mod 0 i originaly intended it to be a l119a1 but i like it like this

Stock needs paint and i need a cqb rear sight and a tourch of some sort
