Aye damn right, I uploaded from my iPhone and it won't let me flip... Although I'm sure that's just me been special.
On the M1, it's at least 10 years old (that's how long I've owned it) could be a few years more.
Single action as a result and still works pretty nice. Was chrono'd a few years back at 460fps but it was a cold day.
The magazine is like a block of steel, accidentally left them for 5 years with no gas or lubing and still air tight with no leaks.
Fitted a scope rail, but now I want
To dig out the iron sight and have that instead.

Haha, just got the image of your rifle glowing gold every time you pulled the trigger with your Super Sonic barrel :P Ah childhood, good times :L Your rifle sounds like something that should be loved and never let go :L

Re: WWII guns...
Set up my rifle for a bit of snipery action, taken about 5 months ago
More recent pic of it, note the repainted metal and lack of ris rail. (also the front sight looks bent but i think that's the picture)

Re: WWII guns...
a few pictures of my dboys k98-vsr hybrid, thought i'd try something different, most people use all the vsr internals but then lose the design of the bolt ,so i thought i'd keep the bolt but lose the shell ejecting and use a vsr hop(cut down),barrel and magazines.
more soon after its stripped and stained.

Re: WWII guns...
oops double post!
woodwork done, just waiting for a pdi vsr spring of the 13mm size to up the power a bit, only looking for 300-350fps as its to be a battle rifle not a sniper.
had a bad moment around the mag catch ,going to keep applying stain till it matches.
