DSG Thread.
10 February, 2011, 18:43
This ones not likely to be used much. But I know at least 2 of us have them.
Heres mine at a glance. This is more about gear boxes than the shell they sit in.
These really are a work of art.
What I thought was going to be the finished gear box..
A modified Fireworks Fet..
I built the box, modded the fet, soldered it all together only to have to poke the gear box with a screwdiver to work. Something is up with the trigger slide. But hey if that's all I have to worry about after putting one of these together then thats fine by me.

Re: DSG Thread.
DSG stands for
Dual Sector Gear
If you look at the pic of the open gear box you will see the gear set has
TWO
sets of teeth. It means that for one complete cycle of the sector gear the gun fires twice.

LOL...I'm sure a lot of people who have tried to build one of these and failed to do so will agree with you on that.
Not bad for a first attempt I thought. I may further mod it and power it with a 14.8 befor long.

Re: DSG Thread.
Those are some damn sexy internals. What are they all? I have a soft spot for wacky coloured internals and I'm loving the clear light blue piston!

Re: DSG Thread.
DSG's need a short barrel or they don't work. So the doner gun is a JG G36. It's a V3 and I have to say I'm really impressed with it.
It will be swapped over to a CNC'd one at some point, but seeing as I very much doubt I will skirmish this as it will be somewhere arround 60 a sec more when it's finished. I couldn't really see the point in spending cnc money just jet.

Re: DSG Thread.
Im using SHS parts in alot of my builds now, and for the price they are available for in the UK - they are fantastic!
Recently used two of their pistons, one shooting at 530fps, another at 40+rps, both flawless and working great!
