Custom Guns
18 March, 2011, 17:38
hey guys, i cant see a custom guns thread so please let me know if im wrong
been working on her for a long time, still not quite finished but im so happy with the outcome
what we have here is a TM vsr G-spec, a few upgraded internals. Shoots like a dream
i have made the walnut stock myself, its taken a lot of effort and a lot of my time. Needs to be varnished yet and to have something made for the butt plate.
What do you guys think?
*edit*: there is something wrong with photo bucket and its put in the wrong images, but you get the idea

Re: Custom Guns
That is beautiful mate, I love the stock, its like a burlesque version of an L96, pure sexual.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

that is gorgeous, VSR internals is it?
Varnished now, not great lighting for actually seeing the gun though

Re: Custom Guns
the actual wood, i only used saw, rasps, drills, files and chisels. The bust plate i used a lathe on it. oh and sand paper of coarse
i was the same when i first started "how the hell am i going to make a gun out of this?" but just be brave, draw out measurements on it and try to stick to them.

Re: Custom Guns
You've done a beautiful job on that mate, the varnishing is spot on too. I don't think it would have looked as good if there was that much varnish it makes you feel like you're looking through glass.
