Re: What you think of my weathering job?
Quite good, but you definately need to stick a wood kit on it, and smash, scratch, and burn the hell out of it, so it looks like the whole gun was caught in the action, and not just the metalwork!

This is what I want to do yeah. Unfortunately its a TM recoil, so no wood kit for me
. Could just try n rough and scratch up the plastic I suppose, or at least dull down the colour.

Re: What you think of my weathering job?
Where is the battery again? In the handguard? Can you not even put a normal shaped wood kit on it? Would be a deal breaker for me getting one!
Id avoid setting fire to it, maybe get a bike or car, and dangle them from the back, and take a spin around the block! You could also throw gravel at them, and so on and so on!

Re: What you think of my weathering job?
Haha I am indeed considering that.
Batteries go in the handguard yeah. Wood kits take ALOT of modification though
. I might just take the plunge and try n modify it though. The stock is a definate no no for swapping out though...arent any alternatives.

Thats a damn shame! If I did get another AK it would definately be the 74Su.
My only advice then is kick the crap out of the plastic part! And maybe get a nice (not too expensive) wood kit and see what you can do with it!

I can remember TKOS dragged his cyma round the block with the gearbox removed, it looked nice and roughed up.

If you cant put wood on it why not try a lick of paint. With a bit of work you can get some reasonable wood effect

surely driving around with an AK attached to the back of your car is a no no no matter how well it weathers it...
