Custom (Home made) AUG Phantom
16 August, 2011, 00:09
Ok as it’s not 100% accurate to the Phantom kit I’ll call it a “Spectre”. I was in the process of rebuilding my gearbox when I decided that I wanted to upgrade the external look of the gun as well. I really liked the phantom kit but as I have a family that requires financial priority over airsoft I couldn’t afford one. So in true Blue Peter fashion I set about making one on the cheap. This whole conversion cost me ….Nothing, not a penny. The pipe I used was something that I had lying around and I already had a socom style silencer and spare rails lying around, the pictures don’t show the inclusion of a bottom rail as I decided not to use it. Not sure if I should go with the black barrel or with the camo tape.
and in camo..

I second that, you have done a great job at putting the tape on.
Usually i am only a fan of the H-BAR, but ti do like your Phantom. i think its because you haven't put a stupid OTT scope on it.

Looks fantastic buddy! I think it looks much better with the barrel wrapped in camo tape.

Without the camo tape I think it looks a little too clear how you constructed it. The camo tape makes the difference between it looking DIY and looking professional!

I just appreciate the fact you built it yourself, Long gone are the days when kits were not available and people built their own.
