Re: TM Recoil guns
Well to be really honest the tm recoil guns aren't 200 quid more, they are only around 250-300 from HK and Japan and that's where I got it from. It's just shops that marked it up so much
I so agree for AR platform there are a lot Mir choices out there but it's only limited to AR. Whereas the tm recoil provides more platform like the g36 scar etc
I would mine if systems is coming out with a Ptw scar or whatever model apart from AR
There is nothing call enough...

Re: TM Recoil guns
TM
to go from between 290 to 300 FPS a to 330 to 345 fps, spring upgrade= £15
to upgrade gearbox with reinforced gears and cope with 11.1v lipo, £60
reinforced cylinder to cope with higher ROF using 11.1v, £30
difference between KWA mag and TM Mag is approx £9 x 6 = £54
Retail price difference TM is £455, KWA is £300, different= £155
KWA
No changes, stock weapon 11.1 lipo ready and fires at approx 330-345 fps
TOTAL package difference to achieve performance parity with KWA RM4 M4 = £314
I quoted a very conservative estimate of £250 difference.

Re: TM Recoil guns
I cant see why everyone needs the highest voltage batteries possible. I cant pull the trigger as fast as my recoil fires. Other than the spectre fet (which was a free tester because i'm jammy
) and the SHS motor, which was spare from a project...
Each to their own, youve found a gun that you prefer, so go for it.

Re: TM Recoil guns
you miss the point darling, most tm guns dont need an 11.1 for good trigger response..they come properly shimmed and sorted from the box so will run beautifully on a 7.4v lipo.
Also,,standard gears will work fine with an m95 or m100 spring. FPS does not always equal range, this is a lie believed by the terminally stupid and Americans.
-'Sly villain! Thou does not acknowledge thine hits!'
-'I doth so, yonder vagabond, but thouest has the control of a nunnery whore, and thine accuracy doth compare to thine codpiece, short of the mark!'

TM Recoil guns
Ah but fps combined with hard hop rubber, heavy bbs and tight bore barrel upgrade does equal improved range. Assumption can be the mothers of idiots -
I could have factored in the cost of the barrel upgrade i did on the TM for my comparison above since the KWA RM4 comes with a tightbore (ish) barrel already. Ha ha ha ha heee haha..
The TM range and accuracy with the upgrades is pretty amazing. However stock TM Recoil 'shock' just does not stack up against the RM4 at any level- period.
Enjoy the TM M4 recoil and remember to hold it horizontal when you do the kit load-out noise test

Guys ; were all passionate about our side of an argument but give it a rest and start a new thread if you must continue , this is a photo thread not a discussion thread , think I speak for a fair few who want to see pics of recoils not an on going disagreement . Cheers .

TM Recoil guns
My TM looking great. All professionally upgraded with:
Tightbore 6.03
M100 spring good for 350fps approx
Deans conversion
Gear box upgrade with strengthened gears
Magpul style buffer tube sling plate
This now has pretty amazing range and accuracy on .28 ammo. I'd say on a parr with a PTW for range and accuracy.
Not sure about the mix of DE and black though. I need to get used to it over time 😊

Re: TM Recoil guns
Never loved a gun as much.
A new PEQ is on the way as well, while I have modded that one for an eye safe IR laser, it isn't perfect and the new element ones look pretty good.

Re: TM Recoil guns
Does anyone know of Scar recoil shocks come out of the box capable of running an 11.1 lipo?

Some are obviously more capable than others though. What I mean to say is will using an 11.1 in my new TM scar most likely cause damage to the system? Or is it just a case of trigger contacts wearing faster like your average AEG?

Re: TM Recoil guns
Friend of mine used his TM Scar H with an 11.1v and it was fine on semi. Although it increased the wear on the trigger contacts and a quick flick to full auto shredded the piston. I'd avoid it.
