Re: ess ice and bolle track review please
Been using my ESS Ice 2.4s for about 4 years now and have nothing bad to say about them. I use them in CQB and woodland and they've never failed me. Come with 3 lenses (clear, yellow and tinted). Only used clear and yellow. Lens changes are quick and easy. The clear lens has the odd mark (what do you expect after 4 years) but doesn't distract your vision
If I suddenly found that I'd lost them, I'd buy another pair (I believe there's a new version out now).

Re: ess ice and bolle track review please
Had a chat with Amanda today from EPS, the site that are the UK distributor for these goggles specs. They actually say they don't recommend them as airsoft specs believe it or not. They do have accessories to fit to them to make them acceptable in their eyes (pardon the pun).
I have a set of ESS V12 bought from a major auction site. But they had no RX inserts in them. That was the main reason for me ringing them, as this seems to be the oonly outlet for the inserts.
It transpires that if you are Forces or ex forces She will offer a discount. This is irrespective of how long ago you served. I told her what they were for and that I left in the 80s and she told me that that wasn't a problem. You will however need proof of this. basically when you served and you number.
Superb service. paid today and posted today. Check the site and if you are not sure give them a ring. They are very knowledgeable about the product.

Re: ess ice and bolle track review please
ESS Ice 2.4s saved me from a good old blinding last week. Got four BBs right across the eyes from a 20m engagement (1.35J AEG). Not a mark on them either.
Does wonders for confidence in your kit.
Didn't save me from a busted lip though! :D

Re: ess ice and bolle track review please
Yeah I agree they are great glasses. I would certainly wear them if I didn't have the V12's. The only reason they won't recommend them at EPS is because they don't enclose the eyes fully. Basically she explained thus.
They are designed for target shooters to protect them from mainly cartridge blowback and other bits of debris. But this comes mainly from directly in fornt.
In airsoft the bb could be coming from any direction and not just from ahead so dont give 100% protection.
Even the ESS profiles apparently dont give 100% protection in airsof,t but they have developed a Cortex to give full protection. This just snaps over the goggle to do so.
