yeah ive got one of those,ive somehow managed to damage it as it smokes a lot, don't know if its the armature or brushes but im going to keep the magnets and make a frankentorque out of it

Primed it first for 10 minutes with a 7.4V lipo, happy with it, not heating up on my above set up

Nice! Those magnets seem pretty strong, far more so than Lonex.
The only issue I could see is potential heat build up (as a result of high speed arm and high strength magnets), I guess if you keep the gear ratio higher as you have done then it shouldn't be an issue.

Yup Sniper proper gear ratios are the secret of your motor not heating up.
Like hi speed motor should be paired up with hi speed gears or standard below 400fps, high torque motors should be paired with STU gears above 400 fps and beyond ☺
