Hera arms glock carbine clone review
10 August, 2010, 11:56
quick review
Build is good, very very little flex
body is plastic, cheek rest and butt pad are hard foam, rails and sling loop are metal.
installation was easy.
just remove the lowest front pin and centre pin, slide the whole glock in,then line the centre pin with the trigger pin on the glock and push through and tighten, then replace the front pin.
ran into two small problems though.
first,if you tighten the trigger pin too much the slide gets stuck when fireing and cocking.
second, the front pin would not go back in when the glock was fitted.
even with these two problems the glock is still held in place well.
in regards to the fire selector, you will need a small allen key to get inside the underside of the kit then push or pull to minipulate the selector.
another note is the slide release, its harder to use with the kit on,most will probably have trouble using it with gloves.
some pics
size comparison to a standard length m4
I think its worth the money
50 posted for the clone over 300 for the real thing is a good deal
the 3 little problems are only a minor setback, the pin problems might only be specific to mine but dont quote me on that.
overall im very happy,my glock is now a great little cqb primary:p

cool review mate can't wait to get one. might just stick a G17 in there though if I can't change the fire selector on the 18c easily.

Re: Hera arms glock carbine clone review
I have fitted a ksc glock 23f in my carbine conversion. It fitted fine but i needed to remove the rear sight on the glock and insert a small screw to replace the rear sight. The screw was inserted so you can rack the slide with the carbine conversions cocking lever.

Re: Hera arms glock carbine clone review
Now it's got me wondering if a CYMA G18c would fit, especially after richardy lipo and spring mods
