British army issue sniper smock review
25 June, 2009, 14:55
These Retail for £120 new i got mine for £39 with previous Afghan deployment and still in perfect condition!
Anyway onto the review
Features:
Padded arms, shoulders and chest for prone position sniping.
Elastic straps for your vegetation
Various pockets around the smock including a dump/utility inside the jacket
A hook type connection at the bottom for your drag bag
Sling hooks
Quality:
Bloody fantastic, extremely robust and well built and can be used as a ghillie on its own, to be honest it is meant to be, the pockets are done up by a metal push button, and features very heavy duty pushers and zips through the smock.
The smock is heavy! very heavy and god knows how this bloke I brought it off wore it in Afghanistan, so be advised about that, very nice in the winter though I could imagine.
My opinion:
This thing is awesome, its extremely well built, very adequate to the snipers, and if you want to go one up on this, buy the arktis one, but if you want a cheapish sniper smock but the British issue, it will not disappoint i can assure you.
Pictures will be up soon
score 9/10

Re: British army issue sniper smock review
that looks pretty mint! do you know if they do one in 95' pattern?
its good how they have ammo pouches on the sleeves for when your lay down. i might modify one of my 68' smocks to do that.
awsome mate
