Tokyo Marui Glock 34 GBB first impressions and unboxing/shooting video.
29 December, 2015, 19:40
Hi guys.
I've recently acquired the new TM G34 to review. Unfortunately it isn't mine but I had the pleasure of being the first user before I send it to its new owner.
The box is pretty nice to look at, artwork on the lid has a tasteful Glock image along with glossy silver writing and even an Airsoft Players choice award gold sticker with 'No 1' written on it. So this must be good ;-)
The interior is very minimalistic and also has the documentation on the underside of the lid, beneath the polystyrene frame.
Here's what is included with the pistol (cleaning rod included but not pictured)
The small screw driver included in the package is supplied so that the user can adjust the rear iron sights, may not be necessary but it's a nice little touch none the less.
Close ups of the slide and frame. Note they haven't changed the material of the frame and is the same ABS lower found on the 17.
Also a peak into the lower frame with enhanced slide release catch, new to the G34.
Another improvement that Marui added to the G34 is the beefed up slide lock area which is a piece of metal screwed into place, so this looks like it'll last longer than the plastic predecessor.
Aside from these small changes it's pretty much the same as the 17 model I have owned in the past. The FPS out of this pistol with .2's and propane was from 275-280, the inner barrel has a lot to do with such a low FPS as its the same length as the G17 IIRC. This is probably to keep it within the Japanese limits, all it'll take is a longer inner barrel/tight bore and you'll obviously gain more to suit ones needs. All in all its a crisp shooter and with some decent heavyweight bbs it's quite the accurate performer too.
Here's the unboxing and shooting video I put together :-D
Enjoy!

Great news. Really can't decide between one of these or a spare G17.
Is the frame compatible with TM G17 parts? Could you take the slide and parts from a G17 and whack it onto the frame from this?

Unfortunately I wouldn't know for sure without having the 17 and I sold that a while ago sorry. I feel like it's easier to aim because of the slightly longer sight radius, if that helps.

No worries. I'm 90% sure it will be looking at the photos. But as its Airsoft...
