Re: Electric pistols
There has been loads of posts on this in the past if you want more details.
But basically:
Electric:
Work whatever the temperature
Are reliable
Are underpowered
Are not great fun
Gas:
Have problems in colder temperatures
Are more realistic
Are more fun
Are more powerful.
Basically the choice is between the Nissan Micra (always works, not much fun) and a TVR (can be problematic, but great fun)
(p.s) Anther Gillingham bod! Where you play :D

Re: Electric pistols
just a slight difference of opinion....
it's a given that gas pistols are more powerful
but if you want the pistol as a backup, or mainly play CQB, then AEP's can also be great 'fun' and have enough power to do the job.
plus, it's possible to uprate the power to (almost) match GBB's.
ie: TM G18 with 100 rd extended mag - it's a mini AEG
saying that, i'm looking at getting a TM 1911 too - best of both worlds

Re: Electric pistols
I love gbbs i love the blowback, the weight, the feel and features e.g. open injection port, slide lock
but aeps do have advantages cheaper to maintain, no recoil, in cqb they rock, but id go for a gbb everytime if i lived in cold get co2

Re: Electric pistols
aep's ARE more accurate
and if u get a tm (with its super tm hop) it will do not far off the range of a gas
wanting accuracy and reliability ? - aep
wanting to look cool ? - gas
and i have nothing against gas. as i agree gas is cool as fudge
I just prefer that with an aep u always know what ur getting.

Re: Electric pistols
I've got a Marui Glock 18C and it works like a dream. It's quiet, the ROF is to die for (empties a standard 25rd mag in 2 seconds!), it works in low temperatures and is cheap to maintain. Also, the magazines are £10, compared to gas mags which cost way over double that. I used to own a Marui Glock 17 but the gas was costing too much and was too unreliable in cold weather. In my opinion...AEPs ALL THE WAY
