Welcome to my review of the ASG CZ75.


I purchased my Cz75 from an essex based retailer about two months ago for £129 Queen quids!

first impressions.
the gun comes in a rather standard sort of box with the obligatory box of bbs and a fairly decent manual, however the gun itself is something else.

At first glance the CZ75 is a handsome piece of kit. the gun is full metal with a magnesium top slide with good solid plastic grip panels. Each ASG Cz75 comes with its ow unique serial number as well as some trademarks picked out in white.

The gun once in the hand has a wonderful heft to it--it feels weighty and solid and very reassuring. the slide has a good firm pull and a lovely snap. all in all on the feeling and looks department this gus a very high scorer. It also does well with regards to mag capacity (26 rounds) and also has an adjustable hop (this needs a specialist wrench to operate (supplied) so technically its got all the toys and joys!

Shooting wise its also a pretty potent performer. in the shop I had the opportunity to chrono it. On green gas it shoots at a consistant 320 fps which is very good for a gbb. AS you would expect on such a powerful gun the blowback is very sharp with the strongest recoil i have yet felt in a gbb pistol. so once again high marks here. Accuracy is once the hops set very good indeed. I was able to hit a coke can consistently at about 40 feet. (leaving nice big dents thaks to the relatively high fps) gas consumptions also suprisingly good with me easily getting two full mags on a sigle fill.

my own CZ had a bit of a shaky start. the magazines have a certain degree of variation in internal dimensions with the first two that I purchased suffering repeated jam issues. (the pellets have room to get wedged side by side in the top of the mags throat.) this was totally solved by exchanging the faulty mags and so far (touch wood) i havent had any issues with them. The other issue I had was with the adjustable hop. for some reason the rubber began to break up and the gun suffered from double feeding and regular misfires and jams. I beleive that the problem was due to the rubber becoming unseated during adjustment -- altering its fit. thankfully this problems been solved now and mine shoots just fine--but care should be take during hop adjustments--go gentle.
final downer was a niggle- the mag release is quite sensitive and when holstered for a left hander (like me) it can easily be pressed inadvertantly costing you a mag.

overall I rate this as a very very good pistol. (and yes thats in spite of the downers) the guns well made, good looking and a very hard hitter. The mag capacity is great and the accuracy is more than acceptable. All the niggles I had were pretty minor (albeit annoying) I personally feel though that this pistol has the potential to be one of the best GBBs on the market

Nice review. Although, I have to say I have had none of the issues you have had. My downer issue, was that on taking down the gun I found it very dry. No lubricant of any kind.

Racking the slide back felt very "gritty". Stripping down and a little bit of Lithium grease later, and all was fine.

It is worthwhile stripping and cleaning as well as relubing the gun before any use. Other than that I can sfely say of all my guns this is the one I like shooting with the best, including my KWA M9 and 1911.

Just a point of interest, the ASG IS a KWA gun, just rebadged with ASG markings.

Hi Fox thaks for the input--i have to agree on the lube factor my ones actio is a lot smoother with a light coat of silicone. i didnt know about the KWA connection, i was led to beleive asg is another trade name for classic army?

For a few cheap M4s and G36s yes, but like Umarex and Cybergun, they are connected with many different companies. CA never produced a CZ variant (or many GBBs for that matter).
