They were amazing but now for the money you may as well get a G&P M16A2 they are way way better...
Only good thing is about TM M16s now is there out of the box range and the fact every aftermarket part will fit...

They weren't that amazing. The tabs on the body were prone to breaking and they suffered quite bad barrel wobble. All fixed with the addition of a metal body mind...

I'm a TM Fanboy, but I admit that the older TM AEGs are outdone nowadays by G&P etc. Whist getting one certainly wouldn't a bad choice, for the price you could get a G&P or similar, that are generally superior.

]Changing the barrel would be a smart idea mate, my crub screws which hold the two barrel sections together broke so I had to araldite them together..

Re: Marui M16A2 - Reviews and opinions needed!
The G&G M16A2 Plastica or G&P M16A2 are a better choice in my opinion, the TM M16A2 is just too old fashioned a design nowadays. Please note that I say that even as an avid long time fan of TM.
My only exception to the rule of ignoring Marui M16s would be as a very cheap second hand project base gun - which is
exactly
what you are already doing, so fair enough.

Haha Kenworth , i was facepalming reading the first part of your post, then saw you redeemed yourself at the last part, thought it was another troll post!
Ok heres another question for y'all will a G & P Metal barrel fit onto the TM body, i hear G & P are a bitch to fit to other guns.
Thanks again,
Rich

Re: Marui M16A2 - Reviews and opinions needed!
The G&P outer barrel will be fine to fit the Marui, the difficulties you have mentioned only come when you want to use G&P delta rings aswell.
BTW, if its any use to you, I have a King Arms one piece M16A2 outer barrel that I no longer need. I know it fits Marui M16s since thats what I used it for. £17.50 all in. Sorry for shameless plug, PM me if you are interested.

Re: Marui M16A2 - Reviews and opinions needed!
I can confirm that it does, exactly what I did with mine
Barrel was a good fit as well. The TM outer barrel is actually not bad. Inner barrel fits a dream, esp. if you wrap it in PTFE tape a-la THE Holy Grail of the DMR page. Only thing I didn't like about the TM is the weak handguard Delta ring spring, which meant that the handguards are a bit wobbly/rattly. I gave the inside of mine a coat of plasti-dip and it helped a lot. Debating whether to do the outside or not...
Also, if it had a G&P style gas tube, it would increase rigidity. That was the main benefit of the G&P m16 front ends. They felt REALLY solid. Bust as long as you tighten up the delta ring enough, the TM will do you proud
