Re: we scar l review (aeg)
one more thing, this rifle (mine, not sure about the rest) really doesnt like the we hicaps, in order to fit they need to be half inserted then slapped in quite firmly

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
Might be a bit of a wait due to some rather petty, jealous thunderc**T kicking up a fuss about rohs issues,
best bet is to import one at the moment

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
Only just found out a few hrs ago that We are bringing out these. Was on the look out for a new Scar H in tan. Dont have a big budget and from having a VFC Scar L CQC, i didnt want to go that root again due to the price side of things. I was looking at the Dboys Scar H due to the price of it but if this comes in at my price range, feck Dboys lol
Spoke to Iain from Milspec and he told me that there just waiting for them to meet full EU compliance with regard to manufacturing standards etc.
So please WE god, bring the Scar H out in my price range :D

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
I thought the tag on it was £360 when it was on show 2 weeks ago when you picked up the L?
Seems a lot of money, only £10-20 less expensive than the VFC at that price.

Yeah. As far as I recall, the L was £255 and the H/SSR were both around £355-360.

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
really? oh wow i thought the h was £265/285 and the ssr was £365, my bad guys.
i had the choice between a second hand vfc l for £245 or a brand new we l for £240 so i took the new/warranty option, plus i wanted to see how it'd be

I'll be happy to be proved wrong! But I think I remember thinking 'Oh the VFC is only £20 more..."

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
Should clear this up a little , the scar's your talking about are :
H £325 , SSR £370 and after a quick look around I see the VFC H is £370 and the VFC SSR is £420-450 , I cant remember what the cqc was sorry to say.

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
Just a quick bump on this... I've just bought one of these in tan and I'm extremely impressed with the quality feel to the rifle. Very solid, nicely weighted and the plastics feel very nice.
I've yet to fire it as I'm away with work at the minute but I'll add to this tomorrow when I get home!

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
Im soooo ready to pull the trigger on a tan one of these but the upper receiver is the only thing holding me back.
It looks almost silver in some pics i see online... Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Is it really as bad looking in the flesh?

Re: we scar l review (aeg)
It *should* be the same as the WE GBBR from what my local tech has said, and he is very tight with the owner of a WE gas gun specialist retailer in the UK. I agree with you, some of the pics do make the colour look very shiny. Try searching for the gas version and see what the colour is like on them.
Until they sell more units and people are actually pictured with them, we have to make do with stock images....and they aren't always good!
