I searched the internet high and low for help on taking down the APS AK's and found nothing. Some help from a member on this forum got me in so I figured I would make a video incase someone else is trying to get into their APS.

Did some more searching and found this, it very close if not the same for takedown.
I figured that APS was doing a copy and not doing "from scratch" design work. Took me way to long to figure out they were a VFC clone.

Re: APS AK74 review
Just to support comments above, I have the AK74S from APS and think its superb. I imported mine from China so not sure about any faults with batches from UK retailers.
Put a couple of thousand rounds through it using the 1k extended mags and never had so much as a misfire, that's with all stock internals. I've never even opened it up to clean out the grease. As for the folding stock mine has never wobbled at all, although its never been to a skirmish so not taken much punishment, but it certainly feels more solid than many of my other guns.
The blowback is a bit of a gimmick, but I do like it as the added internal thump it makes and it certainly looks good when firing.
Anyone who says you own too many weapons probably doesn't own enough.
